Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre “Missionary” Album Release Date is Here

The album of the year might be on the way. Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre have given us a release date for their upcoming Missionary album. The collaborative album is set to release on December 13, 2024. The two announced the official release date with a social media post on Wednesday afternoon. The post was captioned, “Thank U @complexmusic  we bacc on it!! Missionary 12.13 “

The announcement sent real hip-hop fans on a spiral. Some of the comments on the post include, “Greatest duo in rap history is back,” “Middle aged people are going to have a good Christmas,” and “I need to start practicing my crip walk as of RIGHT NOW!!!!!!! Knock the dust off!!”

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre are Teaming Up… AGAIN!

Many enjoyed the play on words as they remember Snoop Dogg’s album from 1993, Doggystyle. So, the play on words with this one being Missionary is another reason fans are elated to see what vibe this new album will give.

Now, what about this tracklist? Many are wondering if the duo will release the tracklist in advance to give us an idea of what to expect from the new album. One person we know for sure will make an appearance is country artist Jelly Roll. He confirmed in an interview with Bootleg Kev that he was making an appearance on the Missionary album. “I’m legitimately on the Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre album. It’s crazy. It’s unreal,” said Jelly Roll.

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg have teamed up on many different things in the last few years. The pair took the stage at the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show. During that performance, we got to see Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar on one stage.

The duo also have teamed up to launch their own gin, STILL G.I.N. The name is a play off of two of their most iconic collaborations, 1994’s “Gin and Juice” and 1999’s “Still D.R.E.” Will this new album bring us some of the same nostalgia from those two iconic collaborations from the 1990s? We can’t wait to hear it!

Snoop Dogg is a cultural icon, and he has also proven to be a savvy businessman. Snoop made his name in music back in the ’90s when he got his start by being featured on Dr. Dre’s “Deep Cover” and throughout several songs on Dre’s debut solo album The Chronic (1992). A lot of times rappers “age out” of the game but Snoop has kept himself relevant on many levels and one in which is pivoting to other areas besides hip-hop. He has used his success in rap to build businesses that cater to his fanbase which has led the rapper in creating a 140M empire.

  • Broadus Foods

    Breakfast is never boring at Uncle Snoop’s house. It was announced back in August, that he would be adding cereal to his Broadus Foods company. Snoop owns Broadus Foods and Master P serves as the brand’s chief executive officer. Broadus Foods houses the “Momma Snoop” brand, and it already has a host of breakfast items including syrup, pancake mix, grits, and oatmeal according to the website.

  • Indoggo

    Snoop also has the liquor game on lock. The rapper is known for his 1994 hit “Gin and Juice” so creating a gin line just makes sense. Indoggo (a play on the word Indigo) is the West Coast rapper’s gin line. The product is obvious but the rapper also has a host of fun cocktails to make using his gin.

    If gin is not your thing, Snoop still has you covered. The rapper also has wine collaboration with the 19 Crimes brand. Snoop’s wine comes in “Cali Red,” “Cali Rosé,” and “Cali Gold.”  The wine company also partnered with Martha Stewart for “Martha’s Chard” who has collaborated with Snoop many times.

  • Snoopify App

    Snoopify is Snoop Dogg’s photo editing app.  The company launched in 2013 and its main focus of  is to use the in-app camera and have your favorite photos of your friends and family turn into Snoop Dogg-themed masterpieces. The app is available on Google Play.

  • Snoopadelic Films

    Snoop Dogg has had several acting credits and has guest starred on several shows. The rapper has made an appearance in Martin, The Boondocks, co-hosted Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party and has lent his voice to The Simpsons. He’s also been in several films including Training Day, Baby Boy, and many more. Snoopadelic Films is the rapper’s film production company that he started in 2005. The film company has produced Bromates (2022), Hood of Horror (2006), Reincarnated (2012), and many more.

  • Leafs By Snoop

    This one should not come as a surprise. The rapper got into the weed business in 2015 with his marijuana company Leafs By Snoop. In 2015, Colorado was one of the only states in the United States that allowed marijuana to be sold recreationally which makes since that Leafs By Snoop’s home base is in the Mile High City. In addition to Leafs By Snoop, the rapper’s media company Merry Jane has a CBD e-commerce platform. He also co-founded Casa Verde Capital, an investment fund that now has a portfolio worth at least $200 million, Tech Crunch reported last December. Through Merry Jane, the rapper has now included marijuana-infused snacks in partnership with TSUMo Snacks.
