Georgia Fall Bucket List
Fall is such a beautiful time of year, especially in Georgia. For me, whenever fall arrives, I always have a tally of things I want to do to enjoy the season, but then, fall is often over before I get to do any of those things. So, it’s good to be organized and plan ahead. Fall is in full swing, and there’s plenty of time left to enjoy the crisp season. So, this fall bucket list should help you come up with some things to get on your bucket list during the season before it’s officially winter.
Georgia Fall Things to Do & Bucket List
See Fall Colors
Fall colors are glorious. In Pennsylvania and New Jersey, fall colors peak in late-October to November for most of the area. So, Georgia gets colors later than in most places in the U.S. No matter where you live in the state, there are great places to see fall colors. You might even see spectacular views in your backyard or throughout your neighborhood. There are also plenty of great Georgia events this fall that are family-friendly.
Have Fall-Appropriate Foods
From apple cider to caramel apples, the fall season brings lots of different tastes to enjoy. Of course, pumpkin spice everything is the flavor of the season. So, I encourage you to sample all of the fun fall foods during the season. I’ve actually never had a pumpkin spiced latte, and I don’t drink lattes, but I should at least have a pumpkin spiced drink of sorts. Other fall foods and drinks to get on your radar are pumpkin bread, donuts with cider, fresh cranberries, sweet potatoes and anything with cinnamon and spice. Apple cider is the drink of fall, and it’s extra good heated up with spices. You can also pick your own pumpkin.
Celebrate Halloween All Season
Halloween is associated with fall, so why wait until October 31 to celebrate it? Embrace Halloween all season, and get out those Halloween lights now. I’m someone who actually likes to start fall decorating on September 1 and then decorate for the holidays on November 1, but to each their own.
More Bucket List Fun: Go to a Football Game
Georgia college and professional football is a major activity this time of year. Of course, football runs into the winter months, but the excitement of the season kicking off in early fall makes fall a great time to go to a game. The same could be said for basketball, which also starts in the fall, but I personally associate the basketball season with winter more. In Georgia, we’re blessed to have a bounty of great college and pro teams. Reach out to me with your favorite things to do in the fall.
