Columbia County Events Happening For The Month Of April
It’s a new month which means it’s time for new adventures, new experiences, and new events! Columbia County Parks Recreation and Events have released their coming events for April. I don’t know about you, but I’ve got my calendar ready to be filled with some local fun.
Let’s start with what they have going on for this week and go on from there! While this may not be everything happening in Columbia County and surely not in the CSRA, this is just something to get your month going.
April 1 kicks off with Birding 101. Birding 101 is a guided bird walk at one of the parks in Columbia County.
Another event going on this week, on April 3, is Wellness Wednesdays, which is a program designed for homeschooled kids ages 5 – 10. For those that are younger, Lil Waders will also be taking place and that program is designed for preschoolers aged 2-5.
Then there is a break from events for Masters week – one of the biggest weeks in the CSRA.
April 20: Evans Market will be back with a grand opening! The market will have an all-new look, vibe, and vendors. A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the market will take place April 2 at 3 pm. As stated, this new market space is an open-air venue to host not only the market, but also can be rented out for family gatherings, birthday parties, baby showers, and more.
April 20: Kayaking Adventure – At 9 am community members will paddle off with Cole Watkins Kayaking tour on the Wild Donkey experience.
April 22-27: Earth Week at Reed Creek – A week of eco-friendly activities and events to celebrate our planet
