Coventry Direct decided to look into the bed and breakfast industry to find the best spots. They ranked 100 popular vacation cities in the U.S. and looked at their offerings when it comes to bed and breakfast spots.
When it came to evaluating bed and breakfasts, they looked at the number of B&Bs in any given city, along with nearby entertainment, restaurants, and downtown area. Any city with 20 or more bed and breakfasts were given perfect scores.
In the end, Madison, Connecticut exceeded all of the cities on the list. They scored 88.4 out of 100. They have 37 bed and breakfasts per 10,000 people, and 28 that offer free Wi-Fi. Along with that, there are many historic buildings and over a thousand restaurants.
Georgia Bed And Breakfast Spots
A surprising town made it into Coventry Direct’s top 15 best cities for bed and breakfasts. Coming in at number 15 was Woodstock, Georgia. This city scored 53.91 out of 100, with 30 bed and breakfasts per 10,000 people.
The next Georgia town on the list is Savannah. But, surprisingly, they ranked all the way down at 35. Then Atlanta came in at number 50. Those were the only 3 Georgia cities on the list. As for South Carolina, only one city made the list, and that’s Charleston. They ranked at number 35.
Woodstock, Georgia
While you might have heard of Woodstock, have you ever visited? According to their website, the city is just 30 miles north of Atlanta. And the city encompasses just 12 square miles with over 30,000 residents.
