Fall Festival For All To Enjoy Coming To Downtown Thomson This Weekend

If you haven’t been to a festival this fall just yet, no worries, the season just started! The CSRA has already kicked it off strong with the fall festival and they are still coming in weekend after weekend. And this weekend is no different. Have the chance to get out to the Camellia City Festival on October 21.

The Camellia City Festival will take place from 10am – 5pm on 210 Railroad Street in Downtown Thomson. Entry is free for all guests.

The McDuffie County community volunteers has helped to bring this event to the CSRA.

The festival will have a number of things going on for the whole family to enjoy, such as live entertainment, which will be going on throughout the whole day of the festival.

Here is a list of the performances you can expect this weekend:

10:30 am – The Thomson High School Bulldog Players
11:20 am – In Motion
12:40pm – Mudcat
2pm - Joe Stevenson
3:15pm – Augusta Junior Players

The stage will be located in the open field of Railroad Street.
There will be games, vendors, and food, but that's not it!

The festival will also include a Car Show that kicks off at 10am. The car show will be in the parking lot at the corner of Greenway Street and Railroad Street.

Its expected for over 100 vendors to be in attendance along with over 3,000 attendees. The vendors will include of variety of of merchants, community organizations, local businesses, crafters, artists, health & wellness services, jewelry, book signings, and more.

Below is a list of the vendors that will be in attendance for the 2023 Camellia City Festival:

Right before the festival gets going, the Thomson McDuffie Recreation Department will be hosting a Pink Ribbon Community Walk in honor of Breast Cancer.

The walk will start at 8:30am and end at 10am. The fall is just getting started and more festivals are soon to come in the CSRA this season.

Pumpkins, Halloween, Arts and Crafts and More – Fun Fall Festivals in Augusta and Aiken

Fall is officially here, the temperatures are dropping and it feels like fall and the holiday season.  This time of year all the Augusta And Aiken Fall Festivals are happening across The River Region and we wanted to share some of them.  So many great events with some being just one day and some running for many days, so you will have plenty of options to pick from.

I know we don't have them all but feel free to email me chris.okelley@bbgi.com and we'll do our best to add yours to the growing list of fun festivals that are starting soon.

What To Expect From Most Of The Festivals

    Why most of these are just one-day events for civic groups and churches, we do have events that last more than one day.  The Maize at Steeds Dairy runs  October 2nd through November 28th, The Maize at Steed’s Dairy in Grovetown.

    Big Bounce American is the world's Biggest Bounce House and it going to be at Evans Towne Center Park October 8th - 10th,  This big bounce house covers over 13,000 square feet of fun.

    Here's a one-day event that is a must-go to, The 32nd Annual Oliver Hardy Festival in Downtown Harlem, Georgia, The day includes a parade, crafts, food, and plenty of entertainment for a fun fall day the whole family can enjoy.

    Another one-day event in Aiken, Saturday, October 14th from 2p to 5p at  Grace Church Of God, 144 Talatha Church Road.  Free hayrides, face painting, a bounce house, games for the kids, and of course FOOD.
    So many things to do over the next month to celebrate fall in the CSRA.  So get out and support these events, take the kids, and have a great fall with lots of family celebrations.!

    Boondock Farms Harvest Festival & Vendor Fair

    This one is being hosted by Boondock Farms in Johnston.  755 Foreman Street, Johnston.

    The Town Of Dearing Trunk Or Treat

    The town of Dearing is hosting a Trunk or Treat and Cruise In on Saturday October 28th.  This will be a fun time.

    Cold Creek Nursery In AIken

    Cold Creek Nursery in Aiken is having their Fall Festival on October 7th from 10a-2p.  This will be a fun day for all members of the family

    The City Of Grovetown

    This is a fun time for all.  The City of Grovetown is having their Trunk Or Treat, October 27th at 1040 Newmantown Road in Grovetown

    The 9th Annual Howl-O-Ween Costume And Dog Parade

    Let's see your 4 legged friends all dressed up for Halloween.  October 28th at 4p.  Laurens Street, Downtown Aiken.

    Graniteville Community Church Arts And Eats.

    Saturday October 21st, The Graniteville Community Church presents their Arts and Eats Vendor Market.  208 Bettis Academy Rd, Graniteville, SC,

    Victory Baptist Church In North Augusta, Trunk Or Treat

    Sunday October 29th from 6p-8p Victory Baptist Church In North Augusta will host it's annual Trunk or Treat.

    Abilene Baptist Church Augsuta

    Abilene Baptist Church of August will host Fall Thing.  10am - 2p at Evans Town Center Park.  A a FREE community event for toddlers through 5th grade kids on Saturday, October 21st, from 10 AM 

    Cornerstone Assembly

    Cornerstone Assembly, 4031 Windsor Spring Road is hosting their It's Fall Ya'll Festival.  October 28th from 5p-7p
