Drake Fans Split On Whether He Dissed Megan Thee Stallion During Concert
Was it a diss or just clarification? Drake fans are split on whether the rapper dissed Megan Thee Stallion at his Houston tour stop. Drake was calling out his friend, whose name also happens to be Megan, and is a photographer. “I gotta give a shoutout to somebody in here that’s been with me since the beginning of my career. Her name is Megan.” Drake says in the fan-captured video.
He continued: “She’s been there with me since day one, like, real s—… Real H-Town legend. Shoutout to Meg.” After a slight pause, he clarified his statement, “Not that Meg, this Meg.”
Megan Thee Stallion is also from Houston, TX. Despite possibly differentiating between the two Megan’s, social media was split 50/50 on whether Drake was throwing shade or simply letting his fans know that it he was not referring to the famous rapper from Houston, but his photographer friend.
“His obsession with Megan thee stallion needs to be studied asap,”one fan wrote.
“Drake’s keeping it real with his shoutouts, gotta make sure we know which Meg he’s talking about,” another fan chimed in.
Drake Throws Subliminal Shots At Megan Thee Stallion
If it is true, it would not be the first time that the Toronto rapper has called out Megan. On his collab album with 21 Savage, Her Loss, the rapper was thought to have poked fun at the Tory Lanez shooting incident with a couple of bars on “Cinco Loco.”
“This bitch lie ‘bout getting shot but she still a stallion / She don’t even get the joke but she still smiling,” Drake raps.
Most recently, after Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the 2020 shooting, Drake caught heat for “liking” his fellow Toronto rapper’s post about him not apologizing for the incident.
At this time, Drake nor Megan have spoken out about the incident.
