Local Georgia Restaurant Named One of the Best in America
Georgia has plenty of fantastic restaurants, both locally-owned restaurants and chain ones. Now, one outlet has named the No. 1 best local Georgia restaurant in the state. How fun would it be to try a bunch of local restaurants in Georgia and pick a No. 1 favorite? I would do that any day.
The study comes from ShermansTravel.com. “Foodies take note: We’ve rounded up the best restaurant in each state, from Delaware’s first Italian joint to a 50-year-old California restaurant that started the farm-to-table movement,” they state in the article. Looking through this list, I don’t see any national names on here. So, it appears that these are all truly locally-owned spots. That makes me want to hit up these spots even more.
Before we hit Georgia, let’s look at Alabama for fun. They picked SAW’s Soul Kitchen. Of the spot, they state, “SAW’s Soul Kitchen, located in the young and buzzy Birmingham neighborhood of Avondale, offers some of the best barbeque in town. Their signature dishes include the pork and greens on grits followed by some banana pudding.” That sounds tasty.
Finally, the No. 1 local Georgia restaurant in the state, according to this study, is Miller Union in Atlanta. “The menu, brought to you by James Beard Award-winning chef Steven Satterfield, is an ode to the ever-changing harvest,” they explain. “The creative plates keep diners coming back for more.” I absolutely love when a restaurant changes their menu for each season. It brings a charm to the dishes. Plus, it makes those dishes seem very fresh and vibrant. If you’re in the area, if sounds like Miller Union is a must-visit spot to grab lunch or dinner.
