Keke Palmer Stars In Usher’s New Music Video For ‘Boyfriend’
Keke Palmer and Usher are coming together after their viral Vegas moment in the Confessions singer’s music video for his new song “Boyfriend.” “Somebody said that your boyfriend’s lookin’ for me/Oh, that’s cool, that’s cool/ Well, he should know I’m pretty easy to find/ Just look for me wherever he sees you,” Usher sings in the chorus.
Palmer took to Twitter to thank Usher for the opportunity. “Usher! I remember when I was 12 and auditioned for ‘In The Mix,'” the actress tweeted, referencing the 2005 film. “You have been killing it all my life. As a true lover of the arts, your talent and craftsmanship are a rare combination that I aspire to achieve as a performer. You are a living legend who is worthy of awe! Thank you for encouraging me and seeing me as the entertainer I am.”
She added, “I know I’m a gUrL but when I watched your videos, I never wanted to be the girl in them, I wanted to be YOU. Thank you for making a dream come true.”

The collaboration between the two follows their viral moment from his Vegas residency. Usher pulled Palmer in for a sultry serenade but her outfit is what got all of the attention. Palmer’s boyfriend, Darius Jackson, tweeted, “It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom,” in response to Keke’s black bodysuit under a long-sleeve sheer dress.

Jackson doubled down on his comment, writing, “We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is.”
“This is my family & my representation,” he continued. “I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.” Usher responded to the viral moment for the first time in a recent interview. “I think everybody’s vision or a version of what they felt happened there just leads you back to just really having a good time in Las Vegas,” he told PEOPLE earlier this month.
The Confessions crooner added, “It was a pop moment, and it was fun to have at least conversation going, and we just keep it light. I don’t see anything negative happening in Las Vegas.”
