Usher Weighs In On Keke Palmer Relationship Drama
Usher is giving his opinion on the drama that transpired after one of his Vegas concerts. The trending incident was with Keke Palmer and her boyfriend Darius Jackson. Last month, Palmer attended one of Usher’s Vegas residency shows, and the R&B legend pointed out Keke in the crowd. He serenaded her like he does many women in his shows.
“I think everybody’s vision or a version of what they felt happened there just leads you back to just really having a good time in Las Vegas,” he told PEOPLE on Friday (August 4).
The Confessions crooner added, “It was a pop moment, and it was fun to have at least conversation going, and we just keep it light. I don’t see anything negative happening in Las Vegas.”
Keke and Usher sang the R&B superstar’s “There Goes My Baby” which led to a nearly week-long Twitter debate on what the Nope actress was wearing after Jackson called her out on her attire.
“It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom,” Jackson tweeted in response to Keke’s black bodysuit under a long-sleeve sheer dress.
Jackson doubled down on his comment writing, “We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is.”
“This is my family & my representation,” he continued. “I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.”

Prior to the Twitter debate, Jackson was a guest on Keke’s podcast Baby, This is Keke Palmer.
When the two decided to go public with their romance, Jackson admitted that the pressure was “overwhelming” and “intense” and Keke agreed.
“And it’s like, you almost feel that pressure of needing to be perfect,” Jackson said. “And so, it really confused me and infiltrated my mind because not only did I have to hold myself to that perfect standard, I was also holding you to a perfect standard as well.”
He added, “So, any moment of flaw on my side or on your side it was World War III because it’s like…” “— And now the world sees us,” Keke responded.
“Exactly,” Jackson said.
Jackson has since removed photos of Keke on his Instagram account. Keke still has remnants of their relationship on her account. They have not publicly announced if they are broken up. The two share a son, Leodis Andrellton Jackson, who was born in February 2023.
