Richmond County Investigating Possible Murder-Suicide

An investigation began after a woman's body was found this morning in a vehicle at Diamond Lakes Park.

Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen says 23-year-old Ceasia Martin was pronounced dead just after 11 am from what appears to have been a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Investigators went to Martin's apartment in the 2200 block of Walden Drive where they found the body of 28-year-old Deraje Witt.  Authorities say Witt, believed to be Martin's boyfriend,  had been shot at least one time and was pronounced dead at the scene at 1 pm.

Autopsies have been scheduled.

Richmond County authorities say the case is under investigation and no other information is being released yet.
