Quavo On Yacht Being Investigated For Potential Robbery: Report
Migos rapper Quavo was reportedly on a yacht in Miami that is being investigated for a potential robbery. According to Local 10 News, the Miami Beach Police Department is investigating an incident that occurred on Sunday night (July 23).
Among those on the rented yacht was Quavo (real name Quavious Keyate Marshall). A heated argument took place with a group of people when they were told the rental time was almost up and that it needed to be returned to the dock, according to the police report obtained by the outlet.
Two men were reportedly “very aggressive” toward the boat captain and crew and wanted a refund. The two men were identified as Cornell Whitfield, 39, of Texas, and Anteneh Workeneh, 32, of Georgia.
The captain claimed that Whitfield said if he returned the boat he would kill him and throw him overboard. The captain also claimed that Whitfield took his wallet which contained about $3,500 and his phone. It was also reported that Whitfield threatened a crew member that if the rental money wasn’t returned, he would kill him too.

According to the police report, the crew member retrieved about $5,000. It did not disclose whether that was part of the rental fee or was money on the boat.
The boat’s owner was eventually called, and he notified police.
The boat captain claimed that Whitfield followed the crew member into the room to retrieve the money however, the crew member said he was not followed into the room, according to authorities. Multiple people were detained and questioned on the incident, but no arrests were made due to statements contradicting one another.
“It shall be noted that although two firearms were located on scene, no threats were made with the firearms,” the police report stated per the outlet. “No cameras were located on the boat that faced where the alleged incident took place.”
Quavo has not made a public statement about the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
