SZA Slams ‘Fake’ SOS Deluxe Tracklist
SZA is not here for this made-up SOS deluxe tracklist that has been floating around the internet. “This is fake,” she wrote on her Instagram Story Thursday (May 4). “And that other leak is from Ctrl 6 years ago.”
What’s not fake news however is that the “Kill Bill” hitmaker will be releasing a deluxe edition of her No. 1 album SOS sometime soon. The New Jersey native told Billboard in February about her plans for the extended version of the LP.
“After I do the deluxe, I’m hoping to be able to accept that this chapter is done,” SZA said. “I’m looking forward to actually feeling proud of myself and not just smiling and nodding at accolades but really feeling it internally and knowing that I’m good enough.”
She added: “I guess I need to stop trying to figure out what it means and start realizing and living in what it is.”

The SOS creator was also named Billboard’s Woman Of The Year. “Since she burst onto the scene in 2017, SZA has defied genres and continually released raw, powerful songs which have landed her music on the Billboard charts,” wrote Hannah Karp, Billboard‘s editorial director, in a press statement.
“The release of her latest album, SOS, has solidified her as a distinct force in contemporary R&B, and catapulted her into superstardom. We can’t wait to honor her as Woman of the Year.”
SZA made a lot of historical marks with her sophomore project. SOS debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart where it stayed for 10 nonconsecutive weeks. The last R&B/hip-hop album with at least 10 weeks atop the list was Drake’s Views, which spent 13 nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1. She also made history for “Kill Bill” having spent the most weeks (16) at No. 1 by a lead female artist in hip-hop or R&B. It eclipsed Mary J. Blige’s hit track “Be Without You,” which stayed atop the chart for 15 weeks in 2006.
