The local news outlet confirmed with three independent sources that the Memphis-bred rapper was found dead on Sunday (Jan. 1) at 4 p.m. The cause of death at this time is unknown. Her former groupmate DJ Paul posted a photo of Gangsta Boo on social media seemingly as a tribute.
Gangsta Boo’s career started in the 90s when she began working with the founding members of the rap group such as Paul, Juicy J, Lord Infamous, Crunchy Black, Koopsta Knicca, and more. She was the second woman member of the Memphis hip-hop group and later left in the early 2000s where she later began her solo career.
