CSRA News: Lane Closures Suspended for Holiday Weekend
To help keep holiday traffic flowing as smoothly as possible this Memorial Day weekend, most construction-related lane closures on interstate highways will be temporarily suspended in Georgia and South Carolina.
The restrictions will be in place in Georgia from 6:00 a.m. Friday until 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 31. In South Carolina, the restrictions begin this Friday at noon and end Tuesday, May 31 at 5:00 a.m. Memorial Day weekend traffic is considered to be one of the heaviest travel times in both states.
Thanks to Mary Liz Nolan of WGAC for the story.
