One person will be charged after shots were fired from a vehicle being pursued by Richmond County deputies over the weekend.

The pursuit started on Tobacco Road Sunday afternoon.   Authorities say 24 year old Olajuan Williams, who was a passenger in the car being chased, allegedly fired shots at deputies.  The driver, 21 year old Quaterrio Martin, wound up hitting two vehicles on Meadowbrook Drive, then both men got out of the vehicle and ran.  Investigators say Williams has been charged with terroristic threats and acts, kidnapping, aggravated assault on a police officer and fleeing/attempting to elude.

Martin, who was initially taken into custody with Williams, will not be charged and has been released.
