Today is St. Patrick’s Day, and after a two-year absence due to the pandemic, the city of Augusta is celebrating with a parade later today.

It starts at 2:00 p.m. on Broad Street and is co-sponsored by the Irish-American Heritage Society. Following the parade, a St. Patrick’s Day festival will be held at the Augusta Common from 4 to 10 p.m. featuring live entertainment, a kid’s fun zone, merchandise vendors and food and drinks.
