The Lincoln County Board of Elections voted Wednesday to keep all seven of the county’s polling locations open.

The first proposal on the table was to close all but one polling location, but a vote was tabled when many voting and civil rights activists complained that the move was a form of voter suppression. Officials later proposed closing at least four polling places and leaving three open.  That was voted down last night. For now, all seven existing polling locations will remain open.
