Keke Palmer Is Getting Attacked Online For Her Suggestion About EBT Cards

Keke Palmer is getting some love, but even more hate, for her recent tweets about EBT cards.

The actress started out talking about how she's eating healthier and how expensive healthy food is. She wrote, "You never realize what healthy food is actually worth until you decide to eat extremely healthy and notice that everything is a million dollars .. !!!"

Afterward, she responded to a tweet talking about how it's much harder to get healthy food. She said, "I feel the government need to settle the score period pooh."

Keke then wrote, "Imagine if your EBT card could only work on healthy items ....Hey @KamalaHarris I know you just started but me and my friends were talking about it and we think EBT cards should swipe free on all items considered HEALTHY. Xoxo."

She also sent out other tweets trying to explain herself better and talking about healthy food. Some people were here for her idea, but many weren't.

Keke started getting attacked online. Many felt she shouldn't talk about a topic that doesn't concern her, and others thought she was out of touch with the situation because she's rich.

One woman wrote, "Keke. I know your heart is in the right place but what concerns me is seeing Black people with platforms be so out of touch with how things work and throw ideas out there flagrantly. I want yall to take some classes so bad because to us, yall just be saying anything." Another added, "You really need to chill. Because this is THE most ignorant stance and statement, due to privilege/assumption you’re exercising in the statement alone..."
