No, Cash Money Records is not collaborating with Kanye West.
TMZ shares that Wack 100 said he “and Birdman have been in talks for a few months and recently finalized a deal to jointly launch the new division of Cash Money Records. The objective is to land up-and-coming artists ready to make the leap into the mainstream.”
TMZ also shared that Universal Music Group is tossing $20 million in the budget for Cash Money West, and that the offices will be opening soon.
To be fair, Birdman did do a great job breaking quite a few artists. Let’s just hope he doesn’t hold them hostage / not pay them / not let them release their music as a power play.
