Jordan Peele has solidified his spot in Academy Awards history.

According to Hypebeast, at last night’s 90th Annual Academy Awards, Jordan Peele became the first African-American to win the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for his movie, Get Out.

Get Out, was Peele’s directorial debut and it broke box office records when it released last year.

The movie was nominated for four Oscars total in Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Actor, and Best Picture.
