The over $150 million dollar sketch-comic-turned-movie-director will be back at it again, circa March 2019.
One half of the hilarious duo that brought us Key & Peele, Jordan Peele will continue his pursuit of the thriller movie crown according to Deadline. After grossing nearly $175 million at the U.S. Box office for his debut film Get Out, Peele signed a contract earlier this month with Universal Studios to continue producing films; with the first set to appear in theaters come March, 15 2019.
In conjunction with his Monkeypaw Productions company, Peele will lend all of his talents in the next film as a writer, director and producer. The movie will once again be a social thriller, surely filled with endless Easter eggs and off-handed cultural references. Noice.
Peele set a U.S. record for the highest grossing debut film with his first release, passing Daniel Myrick and Eduardo Sanchez of The Blair Witch Project, which debuted with $140 million in gross sales in 1999.
If Peele continues his dominance at the box office, Hollywood may just ask him to get out.
